Is anyone working on making nostr communities better? Would love to see a Reddit replacement
Discussion
i never used Reddit but I would welcome the ability to have a gardening community right now!
#Gardening Plant your own seeds. Water your own gardens. Pluck the weeds. Pay attention to Roundup & destroyed watersheds. Collect rainwater. I’ve had many gardens. #permaculture is growing on here as well. Decent tips found there. Never forget lessons of #carson & #SilentSpring 😊
Boom 💥 DONE … now a partial rewriting of a #Taylor #SWIFTIE SONG … cause #poetry 😊💥
#Humans, I won't make assumptions
About why you switched your #currency, but
I think it's 'cause of *we*
Betty, #one time I was #writing on my #timeline
When I passed your face
It's like I couldn't breathe
You heard the rumors from #Internet
You can't believe a word she says
Most times, but this time, it was true
The worst thing that I ever did was what I did to you
But if I just showed up at your party
Would you have me? Would you want me?
Would you tell me we are straight up in hell? ( my brothers & sisters in Christ: Earth is burning … isn’t this hell enough zzz 💤
Or lead me to the garden?
#Nirvana #Eden
I’ll
Go on being Love 💜
I think nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr wanted to work on a new NIP.
I'm not sure if the reason for Reddit's popularity is technical in nature.
I don’t know but it won’t let me post anything and at this point I don’t care why
Yeah, even as the UI keeps getting worse, it has the Network Effect thing, where there's just more discussion and users for any given topic than elsewhere, so leaving requires giving up access to all that until it can be built up elsewhere (which can take ages). Similar to how some folks don't leave Facebook because their friends/family are all on it.
I liked Reddit as a concept but deleted my account because of how toxically centralized it is. I would appreciate this as well.
Same. Using Reddit for lack of a better option and that my areas of interest have solid subreddits. Would gladly jump ship were a viable alternative to emerge.
would love to bounce ideas and contribute if any developer wants to do this
I was off my nostr dev work for a while.
I will start again this weekend.
Lots of things to fix in nostr:npub1wj9l4p7yx7efg9jdz7ztxf9q6t55jhyzdrsqgn3uw7t28v2ce8vqnuhet9
