No, ebay uses paypal which has fraud protection. There is no such protection when you are trying to trade bitcoin for some goods and services remotely.
The only way this works is with a bitcoin custodian that provides fraud protection.

Ebay doesn’t use PayPal anymore but I do get your valid point! however there are other examples like Facebook Marketplace that run solely on trust. Not talking about the p2p aspect of it there is also an online way to purchase and sell that isn’t fraud proof maybe I’m just coping 🤣 would be cool to sell digital goods for Sats on here!
