I am coming to the same conclusion. Well put.

Funny thing is, I think this applies across all domains.

What is spiritual adulthood other than learning to understand God, who is our Father?

Obviously that process is never complete, but that just means there's no upper limit to our maturation.

Or learn from their mistakes. Can't blame them for being stressed all the time, parenting is tough. I had a lot of forgiveness processing when I realized that what kids wanted wasnt always the best decision ๐Ÿ˜…

This reminds me of the saying, โ€œAnyone can be a father, but it takes a real man to be a father.โ€

The same would apply to Moms.

In the cases of adoption as well - the ability to procreate is separate from your ability to be a real parent.

many people are glorified babysitters and do not raise their children out of childish behavior like selfishness. donors/incubators
