1. Bitcoin Safe
• What it is: An open-source, self-sovereign Bitcoin wallet that makes self-custody as smooth as butter.

2. Stable Channels
• What it is: A project bringing Bitcoin-backed dollar balances to the Lightning Network, enabling decentralized, self-custodial stable value transactions without the need for centralized stablecoins.
• Why it matters: Matches users seeking stable USD exposure with those desiring leveraged Bitcoin positions, facilitating synthetic dollar balances through frequent, price-adjusted settlements over Lightning payment channels.
• GitHub: toneloc/stable-channels
• License: GPL-3.0
3. Waye
• What it is: An initiative dedicated to supporting the well-being of developers building open-source technologies, aiming to reduce burnout and improve the long-term sustainability of their work.
• Why it matters: Recognizes the unique challenges faced by grant-funded, unaffiliated open-source developers and has launched pilot programs to address these issues, including academic research, group coaching, and the development of scalable, openly shared frameworks.
• Website: waye.dev
🔄 Renewed Project Grants:
1. Floresta
• What it is: A project focused on enhancing Bitcoin’s decentralized infrastructure.
• Why it matters: Continues to push the boundaries of secure Bitcoin usage, ensuring a robust and resilient network.
2. Krux
• What it is: Open-source firmware that transforms readily available components into air-gapped Bitcoin signing devices.
• Why it matters: Empowers users to securely self-custody their Bitcoin, enhancing the security of transactions for both single and multisignature wallets.
• GitHub: selfcustody/krux
• License: MIT
3. Krux-Installer
• What it is: A GUI-based application that simplifies the installation of Krux firmware onto devices.

Big plans for Bitcoin-Safe.org
Andreas - when/why doesn't Bitcoin-safe support nostr:nprofile1qqs09jtvjlmyrxjn37zv70a89csegcz7rpyqjmnw29cveedhv7vagqqpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqz9rhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjmcpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejs92xe5k as a signer? All the others are there, even Specter?
Well done on your grant!
Thx.
Funding Krux is a good thing, but it's only done because the project has no traction.
Exactly why SeedSigner was not funded - it has major traction.
What's the turn around with grant applicants? Curious how long ago most of these applicants applied before being granted?
