lettuce still looks good after multiple frosts.

Even the calendula are still blooming

The first year I moved to to Idaho I was renting a house on 20 acres and I planted a huge garden with lots of salad greens.

All the local deer and elk were very appreciative of this buffet I had set out for them. They didn't leave anything for me and mine. 🤣

Turns out if you want to have a vegetable garden in rural northern Idaho, an 8 ft fence is a must.

We have been lucky so far, however a rabbit has taken up home so we shall see

What variety is that??

Tokyo bekenna in back, arugula in the middle, 2 “winter” romaines.

I've never tried Tokyo bekenna. I'll have to look into it. It's looks yummy

That sounds interesting. I might swap out one of my usual for that next year. Thanks Dan

No problem, Jester is my favourite

My lettuce doesn’t make it past July… Still eating my tomatoes though.

Oh the heat will make them bolt, these were put in as seedlings in September. Our tomatoes were ignored this year, had to buy our first bag this week
