Misinformation takes time to root out. Novel ideas and studies haven’t had time to be proven, so we need a platform that allows them to get enough air time to be vetted while not causing semi-permanent damage. Think of the number of large news items in the last three years that were initially labeled misinformation but are now accepted on all sides as truth. Open AI can hopefully accelerate the process of identify the bad stuff but it still needs healthy debate and research.
