‘Gaia’s Garden’ is the first book I alway recommend my garden clients as an overview.

From there it’s all about your context and what kind of growing you want to do..

Eliot Coleman for northern organic farming- lots of books written.

John Jeavons- ‘how to grow more vegetables’

Curtis Stone- ‘urban farmer’

JM Fortier- ‘the market gardener’

‘Teaming with Microbes’ for soil science introduction

If you let me know your geographic area and scale I can probably think of others that may be helpful.

Hope some of these are useful!
