By the time Bitcoin should stop creating new coins it will be moot.

That will be around the year 2140.

By that time I doubt Bitcoin will even exist.

If we win (and I think we'll win) we'll be living in a post-scarcity civilization among the stars, creating our own resources, with little need for commerce.

Exchange will be completely voluntary on a gift-economy basis.

"Tell me what you need, I'll give it to you for free, let's be friends."

"Here, have this nice 3D printer, you can build a spaceship with it, and live in it for the rest of your biological life."

"Please accept this automatic farm maker, go grab an asteroid and feed it to it, it does the rest for you."

"What can you give in exchange? What a silly question! Next week we're having barbecue from Venus and beer from Titan. Will you join us?!"
