The purpose of a block every 10 minutes and higher hash rate is to create a system that securely protects and transfers value.
This is an example of it being used to settle the most important resource in the world. If you don’t understand why this is significant then I’d suggest thinking more about it.
Imo the most valuable resource is human labor, it hasn't been converted into sats yet. But it's coming!
