In the block size wars the plebs/nodes fought back against corporate interest and control to protect and fight for bitcoin. And we won.

Today, the corporate control and interest is winning. From Saylor to blackrock, and now lightning labs and tether (with U.S. government)

I’m more and more convinced we’re losing the plot. No I don’t think Bitcoin is doomed…yet. But this slope is getting a lot more fucking slippery

Sad analysis, but I tend to agree. Bitcoin is in the process of being tamed.

Pierre's (justifiable) attacks against ripple had begun to shift from an economic argument for 'strategic reserve' 🤡 and more towards defensive posturing.

sad to see but I suspect we'll see more of that moving forward.

Bitcoin is for everyone even your enemies.

Taproot Assets were inevitable.

BTC solved the Byzantine’s generals problem by allowing everyone to act independently and selfishly as they want on the network, it’s always been like this.

True, but the outsized effort that Lightning Labs put into making it happen is concerning

Remember the Speedy Trial getting merged into core?

That was far more concerning. I hate Taproot Assets as much as the next pleb. But this was inevitable.

No different than wizards trying to make a quick sat. Degenerates will degen.

Tick Tock. Next block.
