You should not expect value without offering value.
Zaps are a very pure expression of value. Expect to have too present the same to merit them!
For those complaining about nobody but devs being zapped, you do have ways to be zapped as well. Post interesting things. Post useful things. Post funny things. Post the occasional small invoice with the caption "dirty little beggar". Provide a useful service for users. Order some free stickers from nostr:npub18kpw3akvdsyk239lx0jgwksr74sq4nlha3r8u9g2rnrhztfpfhysy469c4 and tag your neighborhood. Mostly, don't be upset that the people building the platform you're using are being compensated for their time and work.
