Chatham House Rules are generally well respected, which is why it's such a well kept secret.
Next one is in March but the best (IMO) is in Palm Cove, July 25 & 26.
No tickets or pre announcement of attendance is required. We've had quite a few international Bitcoin 'celebs' but we don't post pics or name drop.

We have a massively active Bitcoin community in Oz although we mostly keep it pretty quiet on socials.

Man - Aussie Bitcoiners tend to keep a low profile. We don't want our movement passports flagged if we happen to want to cross the border. 😂
I've heard there's a crypto flavour to the big meetup in Adelaide but there's a couple of solid Bitcoiners over there. They're a bit quieter about their meet-up but I'm not sure if they still meet.

That’s fair enough! Especially with the recent ID verification. Seems safe enough on Nostr using a VPN though.
Yeah there’s a meetup every months in Adelaide, I’ve been wanting to go but it has fallen on my week away for work so far. I think next month I should be free for it :)

The Bitcoin Bush Bash is definitely on my list! I’m keen to meet Bitcoiners in person.
Yeah the PoW required to get to one certainly weeds out most of the Bitcoin tourists.
They're high signal & totally worth your time
The local meetups can be a crap shoot but if you can find a good one theiy're awesome in between Bush bashes.
