Slowly this acreage will become a sustaining food forest.
Little by little I'm learning, planting, and building soil.
We've got heaps of blackberry bushes around. So it makes sense to let grow what wants to grow.
Teddy is always curious what I'm doing. After trimming around these blackberries he had his first taste of a ripe berry. He ate it but not to keen, 🤷♂️

Damn straight. My only concern though is an emergency vet visit if he gets into trouble.
I hear they won't service your animal unless they have all their shots. And I'd like to not shotgun vax my Teddy Dog. 🤔

Braising ribs on deck
Dutch oven for a few hours
Left overs tonight🤙

With a half cow in the freezer it's important to cycle through all the cuts.
There's definitely a more impressive way to cook braising ribs. But out here with the essentials, it's still very satisfying just with salt and pepper.
I'll use the fat for days of cooking. Maybe even fry my fish tonight in it.
