Teddy and I go for forest walks twice daily. Yesterday we did a perimeter walk. I'm familiarizing him with our border.

One of my favorite things is simply forest walking looking out for anything to forage.

Right now the rare and super delicious hedgehog mushrooms are poking up. They have a delicious nutty flavor (and texture if you cook them just so!)

Hedgehogs are harder to find as they not only blend in, but pop up more scattered than other mushrooms and also seem to be found in a variety tree settings.

I'd really like to meet someone who can share or appreciate the pleasure and excitement of foraging.
