It is even more expensive for me as I need to reach the US first and then go to Tokyo. Planning to go. 🤙🏽

BTW we are 6+ months away, prices will vary significantly up/down. Use a price notification service (like kayak, etc) and monitor for a month. Buy it when you see a price you like 👌

Use google.com/flights and try a few different departure locations. I've found good fares come out of Frankfurt/Paris/London and sometimes random Qatar flights out of places like Sofia and Budapest. We managed to get our family of six from Sofia to Vietnam one way under €2k, so I reckon you can get to Tokyo for less get $1k each way 💯
