So I was thinking of getting a Kindle E-reader (the kind that looks like paper) to be able to read books from Gutenberg.org.

And then I see this news. Any good alternatives? #asknostr

Thanks!

Could this also be used to access Nostr do you think? For example to read books from #alexandria project?

I suppose potentially. A couple of things:

1. Kobo does have a web browser in it. You might be able to leverage that somehow

2. I *think* the OS it runs is just alpine linux. Potentially specific apps could be developed for it. I haven't looked much on the development side of things for them though.

There's no nostr integration currently that I'm aware of

We have to make a PR to Njump, and then it should work over the e-paper browser. Have to get around the websocket.

Already works well over mobile.

That's why nostr:npub1fjqqy4a93z5zsjwsfxqhc2764kvykfdyttvldkkkdera8dr78vhsmmleku is building us an HTTP API for relays, as we have two use cases that aren't too websocket-friendly.
