Right. I'm not buying it, but that doesn't mean plenty of rich tech geeks won't buy it. In a couple years, Apple will release a cheaper Lite or SE version that isn't Pro and the next round of users will ape into the product.
Maybe, but this vr/metaverse narrative is something I reject from deep within my heart. It doesn't mean some things won't be cool or nice or handy, but I don't want to live in a world where everyone talks to avatars of the other person or walks around with a ski mask to 3d videograph stuff instead of living the stuff. Or sits alone in a pod while watching things on their head display. I'm not saying it will not happen because it might. Just me personally, I'm out.
Living entirely in VR? No thank you. Using VR as entertainment for an hour or two? Sure. I get that. I've spent way more time than that over the years playing video games. The coolest thing about entertainment like this is that you can take it off and go outside when you're done. It's the people that will get addicted to this that make it potentially bad. Apple limited the battery to two hours, but third party companies will absolutely make larger batteries for this. π¬
