For anyone that has struggled with seasonal depression, i did as well for a while. The 5 things I did that have largely made it disappear are:

1: I started taking 5000iu of D3, zinc, 500mg of magnesium, iodine, and Tongkat Ali daily.

2: I purchased a full spectrum photographic light, that i keep shining on my face when im inside on the computer.

3: I installed a Cubic Mini woodstove quite literally at the end of my 7 ft desk, on a platform of firebrick, and have a small fire going most of the time that i am inside.

4: i cut out all refined sugar and foods, but for an occasional slice of pizza, or a peanut butter cup(home made, stevia sweetened)

5: i started trying to be thankful for a period, every day. Not abstractly, but specifically. Sitting in the silence, feeling the warmth of the fire, listening to the wind outside, or the rain, and letting myself feel the peace and joy in my body.

This is the second year ive been doing this, and i am amazed by how different i feel daily. some days i have the same level of energy as summer, and look forward to getting outside and working, even in the rain.

Big difference. ❤️

Thank you for sharing, we need to be mindful about what our bodies need.

what is interesting to me is how well the body communicates what it needs when we clear the channels of the addictive voice of sugar and refined carbs. that is when the craving system operates as designed, which is to tell you what is needed. in a healthy state, craving and attraction are helpful.

I have heard of and used/done all of those except #3. What are the benefits?

i dont know exactly. but i speculate it has something to do with regular exposure to certain frequencies of infrared. i just know i feel my body and joints relax much more with wood heat that with other forms of heat.

Great advice! 🧡

I haven't thought about the woodstove idea, but I can vouch for #1, #4, and #5. Empower your meat vehicle and soul!

I also was able to treat it by pursuing my dreams

I really enjoyed listening to the wild rain last night as I was going to sleep. It was soothing. I love my wood heat--it's like sunshine penetrating my bones. The dark and grey is tough on me at times though after decades of it.

All this but with praise and gratitude for Christ at #1
