That’s a great idea actually! I’m building a computer that’s just as decked out as I can get currently, but I think as the space develops there will be a much clearer direction and choice of hardware that’s still a bit vague right now. But with Mojo (new language) and new models of chips that will be AI optimized, there will be a lot to unpack with hardware choices.

As a nomad, I need mobile hardware for compute. Maybe you can make an episode about the hardware requirements and what sort of Laptop would do the trick for the nomadic kind. I am sure there are others like me.

I've only started digging in. Only thing I know for sure is that my dated laptop won't cut it much longer for this kind of stuff. The problems laptops have is the lack of GPUs (usually). The apple kind seem to have dedicated AI sub processing units in the system chip but I can't tell yet if they're performant enough. Need to do more reading
I think as the software optimizations come out, the M1 and M2 are going to stay amazing options. I keep filling up my 2TB drive on my Mac, but Stable Diffusion models run pretty amazingly on my MacBook (M1 Max)
Good to know. Also that the bottleneck is the drive. How big are those models?
