WDW offers season passes. But those customers don't spend as much per trip. And the board laments that they "use the parks as their personal playground". Huh? Then don't offer a season pass!! WDW wants that revenue, of course, but doesn't want the pass holders to use it heavily.

I have a season pass for skiing (Vail Resorts). Yeah - I don't spend as much per trip. But I DO many more trips than I would without the pass. So yeah, I probably end up spending more overall than I would without the pass.

I also do most of my skiing mid week which reduces their load on weekends.

Spend per trip isn't necessarily a good metric to use.
