Multi-vendor multisig
Any recommendations?
- Sparrow for coordinator wallet
- Personal Electrum server instance for privacy (I’ve used ElectrumX and Fulcrum, but electrs is also popular)
- Minimally 2-of-2, preferably 2-of-3 or 3-of-5.
- No vendor has quorum
- Prefer open source
My favorite vendor is Coinkite (ColdCard), but like I said, no vendor should represent a quorum of keys.
Additionally:
- consider rolling your own seeds, offline from your own entropy source
- consider using a passphrase
- consider geographic distribution of seed material
Read truthcoin Paul Sztorc. It's better than all those books. Mining forget about it that's just a business. Flip burgers if it makes more sats.
do this checklist
Multisig, at least jade diy, sparrow on permanently air gapped laptop, maybe also bluewallet on offline phone, so 3/3 then back up in different places according to your situation.
Start to think about kyc. find someone to buy coins from non-kyc pay your buddy to take the kyc hit or buy on bisq. Keep kyc wallet or account separate from non-kyc.
The other stuff is a distraction from proper cold storage methods.
