I'm getting fibre Internet installed at home at last 🎉
Gm Mike, welcometo the future! I remember in grade 5 (mid 90s) my school got it & it was a huge deal. We have a local company that put ours in 2yrs ago.
I built data centres from 1989 to 2002. In 2001 we got a 45Mb/s fibre connection called an SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy), it cost $20,000 per month.
Today we will be getting a 400Mb/s fibre connection for $20 per month.

I thought i was getting a deal at 65+ hst for 100mb/s
It’s government subsidised being that we’re rural.
In 18 months time the price will more than double.
