Not sure if this is related to your question, but something people don't often think about is asking about a history of pests in the unit/property.
Particularly if the property has had bed bugs. If they have, you should find out how recently and how they treated it because, trust me, you don't want to unknowingly be living in the poison they nuke bed bugs with. That stuff lingers for months. I have stories....

Space.
Outside of space, natural light, neighborhood, etc. a good landlord/responsive, live-in super makes all the difference. Especially if you’re planning to stay for a while. Rent stabilized is always a plus too
