Sad to see this. Perhaps this is the 'balkanisation' of bitcoin and lightning offerings for US vs non-USA customers.

It looks like the USG won't be comfortable with non-KYC LN apps for US users. But let's see how it pans out and if other apps follow suit.

I'm guessing, but they might block USA IPs from accessing it

It's possible. I think that ended up happening with Wallet of Satoshi. I wonder if using the Tor connection in Phoenix would make that infeasible.

I'm doubtful that they do any blocking at the IP level. Current assumption is that installing from obtanium/APK should still work. Even so, I wouldn't risk a substantial amount of funds with trying it
