They look very happy with that run area. We just hatched out 3 baby ducks and a handful of chicks. That was an interesting process.
Awesome! Yeah they’re only in the run temporarily while I finish a floating duck house that’ll go into my half acre pond.
My biggest concern is they’re so vulnerable at night, so the floating duck house will give them a safe space to sleep as most predators won’t cross the water. I’ll post a video when it’s done!
I’d love to see that. I have an electric poultry net around our run. It has kept out predators except I left it off 2 days ago and our rooster took a hit and no longer has a head. 🥲
Awe poor guy. I have a swat team of roosters lol 5 on one side and 1 I had to separate on the other. The 5 get along but the one is such an asshole he fights me daily even though if I hadn’t separated him he’d long be dead because the others teamed up on him for being mean to them when they were younger.
Oh wow! You do have a swat team. If our HOA allowed roosters I’d have more for protection. I was planning on culling him this week anyways but I wanted the meat. Lol
