Lightning transactions are pretty private. And lets say hypothetically Moreno did spread in adoption, because of the unlimited block size. Running a validation node would become near impossible pretty quick for the average person, because of blockchain size. Then the nodes would be centralized like eth and compliance enforced
Uh oh, not looking so good in bukele land bitcoin bros

It would need multiple hardforks down the road to stay centralization resistant from mass adoption
If you read the thread, you would have seen that lightning is not private. A lightning user was identified and admitted it is not private. The node thing for monero is fud, monero transactions are smaller than the three or so transaction needed to coinjoin and coin control mixed utxos, and still have poorer privacy on bitcoin.
Yes because solving all those problems on the base layer isnt practical without sacrificing scalability and security. There is improvements to bitcoins privacy slowly being build and the reality is that its easier to improve on that then trying to fix a chain’s scalability centralization problem after adoption
That being said. Monero is awesome, and it does privacy better. But it’s sacrificing everything else on the base layer to do it. Those weaknesses stay unseen because of lack of adoption
