What's the tldr of NIP-29?

It proposes a standard for creating relay-based groups. These groups are writable only by a closed set of users but can be public or private for reading.

Groups are identified by a unique string and managed by relays, which enforce rules and generate events related to group metadata and administration. This includes mechanisms for joining groups, sending messages, and moderating content within the groups

Thanks!

This does indeed sound very interesting. Good tldr!

this is great considering facebooks only saving grace is the niche groups you can join from your community. in a lot of architecture and history groups on there, but would prefer nostr groups much more.

what is nip 29

Chat groups, communities and forums with a chance of working. Relay-based.

i like that

Coracle has a groups tab already, is that for nip 29 or something else?

This is one of the last major pieces needed before Nostr can be a drop-in replacement for many service/app domains that it previously couldn't compete with.

Extremely bullshit!
