No one ever wants to tell uncomfortable truths anymore. Ppl hate confrontations. I could have told you which ppl should have skipped college and gone straight into the real world easily. But everyone thought they were a winner
The ppl that avoided college are their boss at Starbucks since they have 4+ more years experience lol
It's partly the fear of "falling behind". If everyone's going to college, you don't want your kid to fall behind, so you tell them to go to college.
No one thinks it through however. If everyone is doing this one thing, you aren't separating yourself from the pack by doing the same thing.
This shit happens in the corporate world too. Everyone does the same in fear of falling behind if they don't.
