Did you know that the recent addition to the nip96 enables you to upload media to the supporting media host and request that it is not transformed in any way and is bit-perfect? nostr.build supports it already, since almost a month ago 🐢🐾🫑

I’ve been translating note after note and nothing yet

They probably don’t care! This is the Japanese way! πŸΆπŸΎπŸ˜‚πŸ«‚

Nice. Do I have to turn it on? Was still having image loading issues on snort.social today. I was told in the past it was because nostr.build uses/used CloudFlare Polish which modifies the images so they wouldn't be loaded on Snort. So will this fix that?

Polish is not used, if snort fails than snort has issues. I am not sure how the idea of proxying media through yet another layer increases the security or integrity of anything. You just move trust point from NB to Snort and still in their custody. πŸΆπŸΎπŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Snort doesn’t even load on my phone any more, so I can’t say one or the other way 🐢🐾🫑

how can I enable this? or is it on by default πŸ€”

https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/blob/master/96.md it’s all in there. And you need to ask yourself if you need it in a first place. My experience is that users have no idea how to optimize their media for delivery, and it causes a bunch of issues for the people who are trying to view it 🐢🐾🫑

thank you :)
