Why does “Luke Dashjr” have any impact on users disagreeing with Core changing default mempool policy in v30?

Knots is flagging disagreement with Core on policy, it’s not in support of Luke.

Well Luke maintains Knots… but yes we aren’t following Luke as the be all and end all leader.

Yes, but- all software and actors should be considered adversarial until verified.

I think that principle is missing from the logic of people who think attacking Luke will somehow impact the argument about default mempool policy.

True.

Even if there is an issue with Luke and his direction for Knots Core is backwards compatible.

So is knots.

Every update should be considered adversarial until proven otherwise.
