Replying to deleted

I live in an area of the US that is predominately progressive politically. It is so draining for me to have conversations with people and listen to people ( friends, family, everyone here basically ) be so certain about passing the budget without even a single practical thought about the national debt crisis. They can actually be so certain in their convictions about the need to pass this budget or fund program (x) and not be bothered to care how it affects people, our children...etc.

Very tiring 😮‍💨

I’m in a similar boat with where I live and the conversations I have with these people. It’s jarring to see people so deep in the matrix and how they are absolutely certain they are right and that everything is going well.

Someone I lightly prodded in conversation the other day about addressing the debt confidently replied that the multiplier effect on GDP from government spending would solve the debt crisis...

I stopped prodding at that point.

Jesus, you can tell they’ve been listening to some MSM “economist”who had a nonsense line conjured up to calm the NPCs. “Oh yes government spending will fix the insolvent government”. 😂😂😂

It’s so bad. My dad is absolutely certain the US govt is “a force for good” and has citizens best interests at heart. No matter how many counterfactuals I bring up. He also thinks the national deficit isn’t concerning. Head in sand to the bitter end.
