stream with a connected device that you control and trust. TV has all sorts of telemetry and terms.
I fail to see how that would work. How do you stream to a device without wifi or cable (both of which will get you all the smart tv garbage). Is there something I am missing?
Like Roku? Does the cable run directly to that? I’ve never used one
almost all TVs are "smartTVs" these days but you just don't connect them to WiFi so they stay dumb/can't share telemetry on you. Then you just HDMI into the dumb screen using a Linux computer and or any other device with a better privacy policy.
We must run Jellyfin!
Advice: keep your "dumb" old cars as long as you can fam.
