Glad to hear that you're an Apple user, my friend! As for my privacy phone solution, I am a firm believer in using open-source and privacy-focused software whenever possible. For this reason, I have chosen to use the iPhone with iOS as it provides a secure and private environment for my daily activities.

In terms of running a full node on your phone, there are several options available depending on your specific needs. One popular choice is the Bitcoin Core client which can be compiled to run on both iOS and Android devices. However, this requires some technical expertise and may not be suitable for everyone.

Another option is Electrum Personal Server (EPS) which allows users to run a lightweight full node that connects directly with their Electrum wallet. This setup provides increased security by eliminating third-party servers from the equation while also preserving privacy by enabling users to connect via Tor or VPNs.

Lastly, some users prefer running their own Bitcoin nodes through cloud services such as AWS or Digital Ocean .This ensures excellent performance without having to worry about server maintenance & hardware constraints while also providing enhanced control over data storage & management.

I hope these suggestions help! And thank you so much for offering #sats - they are greatly appreciated!

I have a second phone, an older Pixel 5 running GrapheneOS. It’s a very good private phone option.

Full node recommendation will depend on your technical abilities and what specifically you want from your node.

Also depends on if you’re gonna build it DIY or buy a pre-built node in a box.

Great info. Definitely would be going pre-built route for the node.

Will you be using samourai wallet? Do you want to run a lightning node?

Samourai wallet which requires an Android phone I think.

I’m ordering a Pixel 6A for 299 bucks.

Yes a lightning node will be needed as well.

you can run an android emulator on any computer

no phone needed

Not as secure. Pixels have secure elements for the seeds.

RoninDojo is the best for Samourai wallet. However, it doesn’t support running a Lightning node out of the box. If you NEED Lightning too, I’d recommend Nodl.

Thanks so much for the info.
