Most people live the new one with Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane.
But the old one is a classic if you already know all the songs and gags. Gene Wilder is a gem.
honesly i think i watched both at some point in my life or at the very least a trailer...i feel like i watched the orig in my film literature class and the one of nathan lane - the one i was kind of picturing - was the trailer
