Ugghhh, i thought I was in top 5% until I realized that's a shrimp!

Wow, I never realized how wealthy most people involved in Bitcoin are...85% have more than 10!

I'm in awe. I didn't know 85 out of every 100 persons on here was a satoshibillionaire.

Am I reading this wrong?

Descending the ladder would be more accurate. I've climbed the ladder to shrimp status

I see why there used to be a Twitter profile "Darth Powell" that I liked to watch about real estate who always struggled with grasping Bitcoin because he said it was too centralized and the success of it would disproportionately make a few people very wealthy .

I don't hold that view, I think it tends towards spreading out, due to the lovely proof of work needed for both mining and buying the bitcoin.

But initially it does seem to be rumply for a few people (1 million actually) In the beginning.

If the world keeps chugging along, those 1milion will get an outsized say in how things operate, which given my understanding of bitcoiners' motivations and ideologies, it should be a very good world

Actually if each of those people have 10 addresses apiece, this could just be 100,000 people...

Are addresses the same as UTXOs?

The percentage at the end reflects the cumulative amount of #Bitcoin held by addresses relative to the total supply of Bitcoin.

For example, there are approximately 3.5 million “shrimp addresses” between 0.1 and 1 Bitcoin each. Collectively, these addresses hold 1.1 million Bitcoin, which represents 5% of the total 21 million Bitcoin supply.
