Even if that were true (I'm not convinced it is) the ends do not justify the means.

Their claims are clearly NOT true given that every area of life in which govt gets involved things end up horribly corrupt & distorted. Govt is always the cause of societal collapse. When the collapse comes, the richest people are always politicians & the politically connected. If govt created society then it would have to fall apart first & society would follow. Instead society falls apart before govts end because govt is the deadly parasite that grows at the expense of everything else.
Our Constitutions' the path. We need some gov't. Need the sovereign individual's God given rights to a life, liberty & contracts being protected. That's it. 10th Amendment says it all after that.
