Rose cuttings, those can go in compost right?

Someone advised me against doing that, but it feels like a waste to not use all of that material 🤔

Ps. I am not a fan of roses in the garden, but I love my wife -> wife loves roses

You CAN, but they just don’t break down very quickly. Especially the thicker ones. It’s like putting tree branches in your compost. They’re more woody.

Yes, I cut them in smaller pieces. Woody is good ✌️thx

The advice might also be related to the idea that you're putting thorns in your compost. If you plan to handle it later, you might get poked.

I get poked all the time, not only by thorns 😁
