i think its been shown most people are willing to give up self custody for amounts smaller than $100.

as long as there's a way to go onchain, you can't really fault the HRF for focusing on privacy over custody on small amounts. I mean you can fault them but everything is tradeoffs :P

We welcome criticism, it’s the only way to get better, but this isn’t criticism of us, it’s sour grapes over all ecash protocols more generally which predate us by decades

My focus as an engineer is to improve self custody UX so that users don't feel the difference. I cannot blame users for it. LN failed to achieve this for several reasons:

1. Channel management

2. Intiial liquidity

If organizations like HRF keep supporting custodial solutions things can take time. However, I am hopeful Ark will provide better alternatives for application developers and users.

We relentlessly support self custody (always have, always will) and literally just had Ark present at our event a few days ago. V cool project. Keep coping! ✌️

There is nothing to cope. I have a different opinion on certain things and free to express myself. I had watched the OSLO presentation about Ark.

You can and should express yourself however you want, however if you misrepresent others or fabricate things about other people, you should expect that they will respond
