Heard fireworks two or three nights ago. Didn't realize it had meaning until next day when my colleagues explained people burned public transports which explained why several were having troubles coming to the workplace.

But that's about it for me, then only seeing as much as you on social media.

Living at 30 km or so from Paris.

All quiet in Limoges

it's a very small city tho

There's so much damage, #France looks like it's in a Civilwar right now. Have a look at the #RAID police walkthrough of some of last night's damage. There's much much more. Schools, Town halls, Shopping Malls Vehicles looted and pillaged. Everything is total chaos there. The media is trying very hard to downplay this situation and #censor the #FranceRiots

What part of France are you in?

Macron want to cry harder.

Business as usual

Things are starting to heat up in #Marseille. They also started to protect the shops in the « champs d’elysées ».

There’s looting and rioting mostly in the suburbs of Paris, and in some other cities, people are polarized, public transport is shutting down after 9PM, and weirdly tonight, shops are closing early. Politicians are trying to capitalize on the riots each according to their alignment, but it’s not an end-of-the-world scenario like media is portraying it, neither is it a civil war.

This my opinion, I think they’re rioting and looting as much as the government is allowing them.

This is probably worse than we all think, French government enacts change to retirement without passing any laws, then riots, kid gets shot dead, then mass arson, rioting, violence. What will the next time bring? We should all be scared!

the looting is disgusting

Agreed.

IT’S OK EVEN IN PARIS IF YOU AVOID BAD AREAS.

I have lots of friends in Paris city. They aren’t seeing much.

The riots are bullshit?

There are live cameras everywhere. Snapchat offers some insights too.

PARIS CITY EXCEPT SOME LOOTS IN CHATELET HASN’T SEEN MUCH. THINGS ARE HAPPENING OUTSIDE.

Glad you are not in the area

Very calm in medium-sized cities I’ve stayed these past days (Poitiers and Pau). Have not seen any damages on public buildings or shops or fire on the streets.

Hot, sooo hot 🫤

Marseille is the worst. But other cities are okay now.

Also can someone please link me some independent French people doing reporting on the ground? Anyone here on Nostr? It’s hard getting info, or too easy getting too much info I guess

Pretty normal if you’re not in the poorer suburbs of larger cities

Very hot in the big cities, urban guerrillas, war between young people from the suburbs and the police. One more event that will allow the government to further reduce the freedoms of French citizens... But life is normal in the countryside for the moment.

It’s ok. Business as usual

Freedoom of speech is dying. Censorship everywhere. French people need nostr

Very hard to get good informations from the ground today. Many Social networks are down. Many police in Paris. It reminds me of Iran. France needs help.

Je suis d’accord, bloqué sur Twitter sois-disant une limite de compte « prévue » par Musk, gros mytho, ils ont rendu obligatoire la création de compte, un amis qui n’est pas abonné aux mêmes comptes que moi n’a aucun problème

It is impressive, (almost) a revolution.

The censorship is violation of freedom of speech, and is a dictature weapon...

Also I fear all this bring fascists too close to power in the futur. These riots are truly not trivial. The excluded of the republic are talking

The Macron'gov have met with the web providers such as Orange to ask them to cut 4G in some suburbs areas. A lot of Snapchat accounts have been taken down also telegram accounts and tic toc accounts. We are blind we don't know was it going on. Gov takes advantage saying there are less unrests but we don't know for sure. Military police are in the cities armed with machines guns, kids are stealing iPhones and mobsters are stealing weapons. Most of the so-called experts who talk on TV say that is a kind of racial war.. i think Macron wants the situation to get worst and divide the French people to use it to kill our freedoom once for all. The new free world is nostr.

Absolutely. More violence. More control. « Diviser pour mieux régner »

I’ll report in a few days. Passing through on our way to Spain, and I’m actually a bit nervous. When things do turn really ugly, it’s always a surprise.

Calm arround me as of now #bezons

I live in Paris, life is totally normal at least where i live. i think the riots are limited to a few places.

I found Nostr through your tweet so thanks for that!

Elon censoring real time twitter should answer that question
