If Gary Gensler actually does resign:

1. He’s being black mailed about FTX

2. He’s under pressure from Blackrock

3. He feels negligent in his actions

I think it’s important to note that Gensler is tough on crypto as a whole but somewhat fair regarding #BTC

If he is disrupted from completing proper SEC action against the crypto industry it would be a disservice to Bitcoin. Years of waiting would go wasted and a new potential regulator could fill his shoes with much more leniency towards the system.

I am in no way a Gensler Fan Boy but his actions towards unregulated securities and crypto Ponzis in the last few months has been the appropriate behavior in my opinion. Prior to the last few months he has had questionable relationships (ie SBF from FTX).

Hard to say if this news is true but I’d say it’s a much better scenario is Gensler stays Chairman or we could potentially see a continuation of the crypto nightmare that has negatively associated itself with Bitcoin.

There’s looting and rioting mostly in the suburbs of Paris, and in some other cities, people are polarized, public transport is shutting down after 9PM, and weirdly tonight, shops are closing early. Politicians are trying to capitalize on the riots each according to their alignment, but it’s not an end-of-the-world scenario like media is portraying it, neither is it a civil war.

This my opinion, I think they’re rioting and looting as much as the government is allowing them.

One difference is that Nostr needs people to make it better into a compelling alternative to Twitter to the masses.

There’s already compelling alternatives to Apple but many choose to stay. So let’s fight for those people.

Ridiculous. Only way to push a consensus change is by:

A) Hard fork, in which you lose all underlying asset liquidity (because what you created is not the OG #Bitcoin), or

B) 51% attack to take over the network and force the change, which will cause the price to collapse since the attack itself undermined the security of the network.
