It wasn’t this divided tho.. a super small minority didn’t like badges, the grand majority did if I remember correctly
True that. But it was still a feature with extremely strong preferences among some.
For that matter even auto-translate on Amethyst upset a lot of people initially & there was a backlash (this was in Feb I think). Vitor stood his ground but made some UX changes and I think most people appreciate the feature now (or use the F-droid version that doesn't have it 🙈)
I like wen devs stand their ground
