Would someone care to share why the professional investor would want rebalance their #bitcoin position?

Wouldn’t the tax completely offset any gains especially when the new tax proposal on capital gains is 44.6%?

The capital gains tax increase proposal is unlikely to get through Congress.

People often rebalance because if they are up like 500% and bitcoin becomes a quarter of their portfolio, they want to reduce volatility and shift some gains. The 20% long-term capital gains only take out a portion of that.

Not saying that’s the right way to do it, but many people want to spread out gains once they are up a ton.

Oh so sad this thing no-one understands is absolutely killing it - let me diversify profits into the S&P500

Haha losers. Imagine taking profits from Bitcoin to put them into something less volatile.

Fiat gains is a tough habit to break apparently. Appreciate the reply 🤙🏼
