Gm. A friend was laughing at me for listening to Bitcoin themed songs. He said "it's just a currency".

Obviously, music, art and culture have been pivotal to the growth of Bitcoin as a way to normalise it and make it socially acceptable.

But actually upon reflection, Bitcoin is not just a currency, #Bitcoin is a movement.

He doesn't know how much work it took to be able to make him say "it's just a currency".

I mean he doesnt write code. He will never know how much work it took.

every assertion referring to anything starting with "its just" its tautologically correct and wrong at the same time.

maybe its only always wrong, it could be also correct in some cases
