No it’s not that way. We would never accept “joining”. We would accept taking control over America is thats what they want. Thats as far as joining would ever go. What does joining look like to you? Who gets to govern? Whats the countries name?

All the US is is literally a union of states in North America. I don't see why Canadian provinces couldn't keep their laws and ways just like each US state defines its own ways.
California is very different from Florida, but are each better off working together.

Is the US really just a union of states though? Is it not a country with its own well.. everything. Culture, history, currency, ideas, people, etc. Shouldn’t that be protected just as in Canada? Can’t we make deals and agreements without joining as one? We do that now.
I just wonder if we were all states, who would be our federal government to govern all that. I know Canadians wouldn’t want US politics mixed in with ours. I honestly don’t think Americans would want anything to do with Canada and its culture. American pride no? You guys will have to deal with the French. 😂
All Louisiana law is french-based. Texas was a foreign country before joining. Puerto Rico may become a state.
I think the point is that trade subsidy between Canada/US is greater than the biggest US state receives from its fed govt.
US taxpayers finance this subsidy through deficit spending and inflation, so they want a stronger union for the cost or to not have to spend such a large subsidy on a foreign country.
I don't think anyone wants to erase Canadian cultures and I don't think Canadians want to sever economically from the US.
