I'm running Proton Drive right now on my #GrapheneOS Pixel 9a without Google Play Services installed...

installed via #obtanium

I mentioned above. But Graphene has a microg workaround for the firebase messaging (FCM). The App is generally still dependent on Google Play services.

Fair point. That's strange, either way...hope they fix it.

Yeah. I try to use microg workaround, but its not working in recent versions of Android without Google.

...well then you are clearly smarter than me on this question and I'll stand down...I defer... πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

I am also running proton drive without Google services on nostr:nprofile1qqs9g69ua6m5ec6ukstnmnyewj7a4j0gjjn5hu75f7w23d64gczunmgpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerfw36x7tnsw43z786xdyf

Maybe it detects if they're installed and only uses them if they are?

Proton Drive and Proton Mail are both dependent on google play services. Thats why they havent released in FDroid.

I use Proton Mail on GrapheneOS without play services.

Graphene uses microg workaround. Thats not possible on latest Android builds.

I use proton mail on a de-googled phone , it half works, my notifications don't work

from what I remember, they had a a globalist woman on their board

Yes, it uses play for notifications and messaging. Newer Android degoogled has no workaround.

WEF controls opposition too.
