I'm running Proton Drive right now on my #GrapheneOS Pixel 9a without Google Play Services installed...

I mentioned above. But Graphene has a microg workaround for the firebase messaging (FCM). The App is generally still dependent on Google Play services.

Yeah. I try to use microg workaround, but its not working in recent versions of Android without Google.

Proton Drive and Proton Mail are both dependent on google play services. Thats why they havent released in FDroid.

I use proton mail on a de-googled phone , it half works, my notifications don't work

from what I remember, they had a a globalist woman on their board

Yes, it uses play for notifications and messaging. Newer Android degoogled has no workaround.
