Most likely they are. Most apps keep their connections live to show you new content (or new reactions to the content you are looking at) immediately. But also, keep in mind everything is super new and not optimized AT ALL. We are still working on it.

Which client/app are you using? I’ve found just in my own trial and error that it can differ based on a few things: your internet connection, which client/app you’re using, and the relays you’re connected to.

With a half-charged phone, content especially on Damus (for me still the best client) loads forever. Maybe you use the Damus Desktop App?

make sure you have good relays.

paid ones are often best.
