Very specific question (no pressure to ask): When I zap someone on Primal from my Alby wallet, why does it not register on my nostr profile's zap counter? (Have zapped a bunch of times and it still says I have zero zaps)

Will ask!

This is nitpicky but see if they'd consider changing their terminology from "savings/spending" and "spending balance/receiving capacity" to on-chain/off-chain and outbound/inbound liquidity. Their FAQ defines those as such so they could save users a step by using the BTC-familiar terms with an in-depth explanation in the FAQ. It's a word salad at first but once you know, you know.

Good point. I’m kinda torn on whether or not I like saving spending thing… it’s a good question over all. Do we change to terms normies will understand better? Or keep terms more BTC-centric the way they’ve been in the space? Will people come into Alby Hub having never run a node before?

Running a node always presents a learning curve whether you're familiar with the BTC protocol or not, so I think keeping the terms uniform is important so there's more documentation / community help and no Tower of Babel moment. The familiar, banking-esque terms come off as dumbing down to me and I believe anyone even remotely INTERESTED in running an Alby Hub is capable of learning things like the difference between on-chain and off chain transactions or liquidity. Just my two sats.

I asked your question and the question nostr:npub1l3ttqul8rfcvrwxy8s3plneyg0lx2yp0ljn8t6mzhhtrewfluxtqp8t0zv had, and nostr:npub14wxtsrj7g2jugh70pfkzjln43vgn4p7655pgky9j9w9d75u465pqvagcye totally appreciated the feedback!

Will have to edit and release the podcast then clip his responses

I'm looking forward to hearing the convo and appreciate you bringing it up! Although I prefer trustless systems, Alby has always been a wonderful steward and Alby Hub is a great example of offboarding giving listeners a reason to build a node -- which I can seriously get behind.

By the way, any plans to take your show live so producers can boost in questions and comments? 😬

I would def love to do a live show, just not there yet!

I do love Alby and dig my Alby Hub, which has been harder to break than my first node, a Pi built w/Umbrel. 🤙 😉
