The feed is free. Primal just shows it wrong.

But in general running DVMs requires hardware and time to build them, so if people build cool stuff and provide it and other people want to use these specific feeds why shouldn't there be an incentive to run them.

Remember there is not a company melking you for ad revenue to show you feeds of stuff their advertisers want you to see.

It's services people provide for you.

yeah agree, I was not polemic, I really didnt understand, thanks 😁🙏

sorry, I dont understand another concept: the feeds like "lastest" and "lastest with replies" are not computed by a relay, true? They are pulled by the client from the multiple relays we connect (or using in/outbox model...).

So these dvm feeds can run on either relays or devices(?)

Or these feeds I mentioned are not dvms feeds(?)

Thanks!

They are processed by a DVM. The DVM for example pulls notes from one or multiple relays, calculates the feeds and returns the results of the processing to the client.

It's in this case Outsourcing the processing and holding of notes to a DVM because otherwise your phone would have to hold many notes.

thnaks!

ya, th_ damn naks(>_<) /o/
