Nostr is largely populated by bitcoiners who are typically knowledgeable liberty advocates who already understand many of the negative processes in the world.
Combine this with less reach toward normies, and there is less incentive to spread news here and inform regular people of what is happening.
Then I'd assume the Dunbar number plays in; smaller crowds are more personalized crowds. As a result people here at Nostr share more private, face-to-face type of comments and content.
