you should get it. starlink is nice. basically, CI/CD is something that can cost a lot on a rented server because it is very bursty and much of it just sits idle, till it needs to run and then it sucks if its a slow server when it does need to run. fast internet is key. laptops are way more powerful than any low tier server.

I don't need the entire DevOps on the server. The server just needs to run the QCd containers.

I have Jenkins and Docker local, already, on the NAS.

The NAS is to slow to run the apps, tho.

Starlink is out of the question because my husband hates Elon.

oh noes.. i assume if it's the only thing that is available that is faster, you must be on geosync satellite or a modem, or a dsl that is very far from its trunk. 😭
